October 19, 1999, Chartwell Technology Inc.(CWH-ASE) is pleased to announce that it has filed its Form 20 F/R registration statement with the United States Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), to register the common shares of Chartwell under Section 12 of the U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934.



Chartwell has also completed its registration with Standard & Poor's Corporation Records in the United States.



Chartwell's SEC registration and Standard & Poor's listing are designed to facilitate a secondary trading market for Chartwell's common shares in the United States through licensed U.S. broker-dealers. By becoming a reporting issuer under the Exchange Act, Chartwell is closer to becoming eligible to list its stock for quotation or trading in the U.S.
